Opening Christmas Day in 1948 asthe West Theater, this venue was the heart of Rock Springs' entertainment for nearly 30 years.  After its transformation into the Rock theater, a period of vacancy, and a massive revitalization effort spearheaded by the City of Rock Springs and the Wyoming Business Council, the theater was restored to its former glory in 2011.  While the curtain has risen on countless new performances, many believe the echoes of the past remain.  Investigators have documented unusual phenomena, unexplained noises, and even visual sightings in areas that once cental to the bustling movie house and are now home to modern performing arts.
